Wizz Air will operate a low cost flight between Hévíz - Balaton Airport (located next to the town Hévíz, in Sármellék) and Dortmund from June 2022. The first flight may depart from the German big town on the 16th of June. According to Wizz Air, flights from Dortmund arrive at the Hévíz - Balaton Airport in Sármellék twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. more
According to the statement of the Municipality of Hévíz, the renovation of the park in front of the main entrance of the Lake Bath and the Schulhof promenade will start with a financial support. With more than 6 billion Forint in state support and the planned 5 billion Forint Norwegian investment, Hévíz-Balaton Airport is having huge developments.
Since 2012, the municipality of Hévíz has operated the airports in Sármellék and Zalavár. For the landing site to operate profitably, at least 150-200 thousand passengers – yearly - would be needed, which could be brought about by the expansion of scheduled flights and freight. more
The 40-kilometer, 2x2-lane express way under construction connects Zalaegerszeg and the M7 highway.
The completed 1.5-kilometer section of the main road Nr. 76 will start after the Alsónemesapáti vehicle classification point, then it will connect to the already four-lane section of the M76 main road by reaching the outskirts of Pethőhenye and the closed garden properties of the city of Zalaegerszeg. The investment was made by Colas Út Zrt. with the budget of almost 4 billion HUF.
The design of the road has expanded from the former 2x1 lane to a 2x2 lane main road with physical separation elements in the middle. The speed limit for traffic will be 90 km/h on this section.
The 40-kilometer, 2x2-lane M76 motorway, which will be built with an investment of about 170 billion Forint, will connect the city Zalaegerszeg and the motorway M7. The road will be the connection to the automotive test course “Zala Zone”.
Motorway works are currently underway on two following sections:
- in the east, near the Lake Balaton, 8.6 kilometers from the M7 motorway to Fenékpuszta will be built by Strabag,
- in the west, thanks to the work of Colas Út Zrt., the section of the old main road 76 between Zalaegerszeg and Alsónemesapáti was converted into a road with four lanes.
The handover of a new 3-kilometer route between Balatonszentgyörgy and Fenékpuszta is expected in 2022, but a total of 11 bridges will have to be built on this short section. The licensing procedure for the 44-kilometer section of road between Zalaegerszeg and Fenékpuszta is already underway.
The route of the M76 motorway: if the entire route is built, it will make the route Graz - Szentgotthárd - Körmend - Zalaegerszeg - Keszthely - M7 available to Zalagerszeg, and it will also be part of the ring road in western Hungary: (Budapest -) Győr M1 / M85 - Csorna M85 / M86 - Szombathely M86 - Körmend M86 / M76 - Zalaegerszeg M76 - Keszthely M76 - Hollád M7 (- Budapest).

The decision-making power of the National Assembly includes also deciding on a low-proposal containing the 5% VAT (over again) for new real estates. Until the end of 2026, 5% VAT can be applied to flats under 150 square meters and detached houses under 300 square meters, for which a building permit has been obtained or construction has been simply notified by the end of 2022. Based on the online article of portfolio.hu, all this includes the following measures: The 5% reduced tax rate will again apply to the sale of new residential properties from the 1st of January 2021. 5% VAT is applicable until 31 December 2026, if the building permit has become final latest by 31st of December 2022, or its construction has been notified by that given date according to the simple notification rules. A reduced tax rate of 5% is applied to the sale of new real estate - if the total useful floor area does not exceed 150 square meters in the case of flats and the total useful floor area of 300 square meters does not exceed 300 square meters in the case of family houses. (According to the VAT rules, a property is considered new if it has not yet been taken into use or has been put into use, but two years have not yet elapsed between the time of taking it into use and the time of sale.) According to the proposal, a reduced tax rate of 5% will apply to the sale of new residential properties until 31st of December 2022. From the 1st of January, new and used properties purchased using by the so-called CSOK (financial supporting program for Hungarian families, who would like to buy their own flat or family house) will also be free from fees - unrestricted in terms of floor space or market value. It is important that the amount of the fee paid does not have to be refunded afterwards, but that the fee does not have to be paid in advance. Hungary-based no-frills airline Wizz Air is to fly directly from Budapest to Dubai and to Baku, Azeribaian Wizz Air will launch four flights (A320 aircraft) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting 28 October 2013. Cycling is the best way to discover Hévíz and its surroundings. The resort is improving the services, had ney cycle road between Alsopahok, and also now the tourists can rent a bike at Tourinform office. This is still not enough, as Hévíz is planning to develope some more depos in the town, so tourists can use the bikes for 24 hours, and return the bikes in one of the depos around the town. more
